Fun or
Funny?
10/21/08
Which one do you
think is the correct way to
say?
"You are a fun
person! I like having funny with
you!"
or
"Shelly is a funny
girl. I always have so much fun watching
her!"
Basic stuff for some,
hard to understand for
others.
FUN = is a
noun. "diversão"
FUNNY = is an
adjective. "divertido"
O primeiro exemplo
é o incorreto. O certo seria:
"You are a
funny person! I like having
fun with you!"
Other
examples:
Going to the circus
is fun! But I don't think the clowns are funny
anymore.
It was a fun
moment when he decided to
speak!
It's funny
every time when she tells those
jokes.
Here
are a few chuckles!
Have fun!
A: Hey, man!
Please call me a taxi.
B: Yes, sir. You are a taxi.

Men are like coffee:
The best ones are rich, warm,
and keep you up all night long.
*
Love is one long
sweet dream, and marriage is the alarm
clock.
*

Men
are like lava lamps.
Fun to look at but not
that bright.
*
Do you know what a lava lamp is?
Did you understand the jokes?
If you have questions about this
material, feel free to ask me!
