Monkey business: 

==> something silly or deceitful, dishonest. É como atribuir as travessuras do macaco ao comportamento humano.

I don't trust that lawyer - there's some monkey business going on. (the lawyer is doing something  distrustful)

The actors were told to cut off the monkey business and get to work. (they were being silly and playful, instead of working).

What about apes /eips/?

Chimpanzeees, orangutans, bonobos, and gorillas are not monkeys - they are apes. Apes are distinguished from monkeys by having no tail, having an appendix, and having a more complex brain.

Sabe o que significa a expressão "Go apes"?

Significa "to become wildly excited or enthusiastic about something".

"Man, Paul was going apes in that party! He drank all the booze and danced naked!"
Cara, deu a louca no Paul! Ele bebeu todas e dançou sem roupa!

"She goes apes over Italian cuisine."
Ela é tarada/pirada por comida italiana.

 

If you are "aping" someone you are "imitating", especially in an exaggerated way.

So, go ahead and ape me!
