Life Landmark in Iowa

Who's to say,

if life's at bay?

The sign says:

“ROSEMAN BRIDGE

Built 1883”

Time stalled:

here is the Rose,

now where is the Man?

1883...

Life goes on...

1995, 2003...

Life goes on still

I can barely feel...

side dishes were thrown

the main course is just a course

without much meaning,

without much feeling.

ROSEMAN is still there

so is the Rose,

and one Man - where is the glare?

That Bridge is lesson and art,

a movie, a new view

a landmark for my heart,

a crossing point, life review.

That bridge remains and I had to look

through a magnifying glass

to see how many years it took

to create my own overpass...

ROSEMAN is still there

so is the Rose, and the new Man

Life goes on, 2009...

We crossed the Bridge, all is fine!
