Magnolias

They come again, fleeting and full of splendor

with their majestic pink and white blooms.

It's one of the first signs of Spring glamour

leaving behind the winter glooms.

They are on almost every block

but well could be in every yard.

I wish those flowers would last like a rock

instead of lasting for such a short time.

Some people care less for Magnolia trees

saying the falling flowers make a mess around.

I just think they don't know how to seize

the joy of Spring and the colorful ground!

Because soon those magic flowers

are gone, and so are the spring hours.

They meet their tight deadline

to just shortly come again, the next time.
