So We Decided To Move On...

Bored, sitting down in the same corner

life was passing by as we watched it.

Contemplating freedom

through the cracked, blurry, old window,

opened half way.

We thought the journey had to continue

the way they say.

Just passing through stations,

looking at fields of hay.

Slow motion in, heat out;

security and comfort inside

excitement and emotions outside...

It was time to decide...

To move on, to open out

to let the air in,

punch a hole in the screen

reach out and turn around.

So, we decided...

To be bold,

to break the rules,

to sharpen the tools

and unbolt.

We built a fire and burnt the old,

heat and light became gold.

We burst the cages,

never expected for ages.

Beasts and fowl

to release and prowl!

We decided to let them come out:

first flew the hungry pelican

elegant, no doubt

dove right in the warm ocean.

So we decided to move on...

we heard a roar,

stallion and mare

were out of air.

Locked, restrained

they had been trained,

We freed them, too

for whatever they wanted to do.

So we decided to move on....

and unveil a box,

and then one more,

Oh... pleasure galore!

Narrow, secret treasure,

we opened them up

and they flew:

dreams, smiles and dew.

The journey,

we decided to move on,

it goes on,

now, the way we say.
