English Language Training
by Live English Program

Besides the free subscription to the newsletters (LEP-Nuts) with tips and explanations about the English language, LEP also provides more detailed coaching and deep training to help you more completely with your English practice. Below are the current modalities of programs offered by LEP. They are all customizable to each student's profile and English needs. Other programs can be developed as well, upon trainees' requests.

LEP-Nuts Subscription

Weekly information targeting reading practice and comprehension, with tips, explanations about English grammar, expressions, culture, etc.
Includes e-books download and invitations to LEP events when available.
Subscribers can have access to the instructor once a week, by email and IM, for asking English questions.

Free

LEP-Light

LEP-Light is a monthly English course. It's a light and constant practice, totally directed to the student's needs.
Students can have daily access to the personal trainer to ask questions, and they can also submit their own practice material for correction and comments (up to four texts per month).
LEP-Light students receive one assignment per week. Exercises are corrected and can be commented for further explanation and clarification. The assignments focus mainly on writing techniques; and reading and listening comprehension.
Students receive a "key" to interact with other students in a new LEP platform with exercises, lessons, quizzes, fun, chat, forum, etc.
Depending on the necessity, the English trainer may schedule conversation sessions with the trainee to clarify some English aspects.

LEP2Gather

This is a two-month program, with conversation classes designed for two students together.The classes in group of two help students learn with each other's difficulties, and greatly increase their communication ability.
It can also be tailored to preparing English users for job interviews and meetings; international trips; and translation and writing careers.
Two Talk-Sessions per week.
Material is included. Topics and assignments are designed according to student's need.
Daily access to personal trainer.

LEP-Flash

This is a two-month program with individual sessions designed to brush up your English! It can be perfectly adapted to teachers' training, with emphasis on class dialog, pronunciation, development of topics, class preparation, worksheets, etc.
It can also be tailored to preparing you for job interviews and meetings; international trips; and translation and writing careers.
Two Talk-Sessions per week
Material is included. Topics and assignments are designed according to student's need.
Daily access to personal trainer.

LEP-Booster

This is a three-month course and it's twice more challenging than LEP-Flash. It really can boost your English! The program covers the four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. It's almost like a sample of the TOEFL preparation, but not as intense and fully featured.
It can also be tailored to preparing you for job interviews and meetings; international trips; and translation and writing careers.
Trainees have two assignments and two Talk-Sessions per week.
Material included. Daily access to personal trainer.

LEP4Teachers

Openings for new trainees only in March/2012.

Four-Month Training for English Teachers: perfect guidance for beginners or an expansion for the experienced ones!
Main focus of the program: teaching techniques; learning techniques; students' mind understanding; approaches to conveying the message; relationship; confidence versus fear of failing; motivational techniques; dealing with problem students; rewarding; tips and guidance to becoming an independent English teacher; writing techniques plus advanced grammar & vocabulary.
Material included (practice, worksheets, class planners, etc).
Three Talk-Sessions per week with class simulation.

PTP by LEP

(TOEFL prep.)

PTP stands for Proficiency Test Preparation. You can choose a three-month or six-month preparation before taking your Official English Proficiency Test.
This program offers a wide variety of resources for English studies, focusing on the four language skills required by the TOEFL test: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.
You receive especially tailored material, based on practice tests by TOEFL (simulation tests);
practical activities (texts/audios/exercises) with constant guided training;
sample questions based on the Official TOEFL's style and dynamics;
language enhancers, like idiomatic expressions, pronunciation practice, writing techniques; dictation; etc.
insider's view of TOEFL with important tips and information about the test;
and the unique hard-to-find feature in online test preparation: LEP's exclusive personal training, including:
three Talk-Sessions per week;
three assignments per week, with comments and corrections;
daily access to your mentor, during your studies and English activities.

Important:

For this program, your personal English trainer employs six to eight hours of her time, per week, for your material preparation, correction and comments, and conversation sessions.

The hourly fee of your personal trainer at LEP is R$ 50,00. Therefore, your training is worth at least R$300,00 per week – or R$1.200,00 per month.

Still, because this is a package (of 6 or 3 months) your cost can be significantly reduced to R$890,00 per month.
